Hi there, I’m Ronél

The longer version starts about four years ago, when I was building my own coaching practice and doing what most new coaches do:

  • Piecing together a website,

  • Figuring out integrations through trial and error,

  • Watching tutorial after tutorial at 10 pm, and

  • Wondering why something that should have taken an afternoon kept taking weeks.

Today, I help coaches, consultants and wellness practitioners build strategic Squarespace websites and connected digital systems that support their businesses.

I have 30 years of experience in HR and organisational thinking.

And I built my own coaching practice from the ground up.

I'm not someone who gives up easily or who shies away from complexity.

But the tech was genuinely hard because nobody had sat down with me and explained how it all connected. The website, the email list, the booking system, the payment processing — they were all separate islands, and I had to figure out how to build the bridges between them.

Eventually, I built something that worked.

Really worked.

  • The systems connected.

  • The automations ran.

  • The site reflected my positioning, and

  • I could manage it myself.

And the first thing I thought was: why doesn't everyone have this?

That question became Ronél Pretorius Digital.

I don't just build Squarespace websites.

I help service-based professionals create digital foundations that support how they work, attract the right clients, and grow with their businesses.

Strategy Before Squarespace Website Design

Strategy first.

Design second.

Always.

Most Squarespace designers lead with aesthetics, and aesthetics matter. But a beautiful website that doesn't connect to your booking system, doesn't capture email addresses, and can't be updated without calling your designer is not a foundation.

What I bring to every project is the thinking that happens before any design decision gets made.

  • Who are you trying to reach?

  • What do you want them to do when they get there?

  • What systems need to connect, and how?

  • What does your client journey actually look like end-to-end?

These are the questions I spent 25 years asking in organisational contexts. I've simply brought them to the work of building digital foundations for people like you.

A Little More Background

I'm a Squarespace Web Designer and Digital Strategist. I've built my own practice from the ground up, including the website, systems, course platform, email automations, and everything in between.

I also work as a Work-Life Alignment Coach, helping corporate women 40+ navigate pivotal moments in their professional lives. That work has sharpened my ability to ask the right questions, hold complexity without oversimplifying, and help people make considered decisions rather than reactive ones.

These two practices affect each other in ways I didn't anticipate.

The strategic thinking I bring to my coaching work shows up in how I approach a website build. The technical grounding I've developed through digital work shows up in how I help professionals think about their businesses.

It's the same underlying discipline:

Helping coaches and wellness practitioners build things that last.

A Little Outside the Work

I'm based in South Africa, which means I work across time zones with clients globally.

I've found that the professionals I work best with tend to share certain qualities regardless of where they are:

  • they're thoughtful,

  • they take their work seriously,

  • they've been around long enough to know the difference between cheap and good value, and

  • they're ready to invest in something built to last.

If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear about your project.

What Working With Me Looks Like

I work with a small number of clients at a time. This is deliberate.

Every project gets my full attention, not a junior designer following a brief, not a templated process applied regardless of context.

You.

Projects begin with a discovery conversation, not a brief.

I want to understand:

  • your business, your clients,

  • your current setup, and

  • where you're trying to get to.

That conversation shapes everything that follows.

Every project ends with training. Always.

You'll receive a recorded session walking through your site and systems, written documentation you can refer back to, and a support window after launch for questions that inevitably come up once you're live.

The goal is for a client to be fully in control of her own digital presence.

That standard — doing things properly, once — is the one I hold every project to.

Not Sure Where To Start?

Most conversations begin with a free 15-minute call- a chance to discuss your project or talk through where you are, what you need, and whether we're a good fit. CTA button:

If you'd prefer to start with something more concrete, the Website & Systems Clarity Audit provides a full strategic review of your current digital presence and a clear picture of what needs attention.

"Ronél devised a method of sharing a workbook on Google Drive, so we could keep track and work on the same documents. After each meeting, she sends a synopsis and a work order of what each of us will do before the next meeting. It is so organised and easy to follow — and honestly the only way I was able to stay on track.

I would recommend Ronél's work to anyone who is setting up a website for the first time, or who already has a website that just isn't functioning the way it needs to."
